The O'Neill Leadership Center helps students grow as public service leaders through programs that build skills, foster connection, and encourage meaningful engagement. Together, these experiences prepare students to make a positive impact in their communities and careers.

Leadership in Action

The Leadership in Action workshop series is a multi-week session open to graduate and undergraduate students each academic year. Through these workshops, students build their skills for working in professional settings and learn to lead and follow in service to a purpose. Students leave with a toolkit that will serve them during practicum, capstone, and internship experiences while in school and in their careers after O’Neill.

Executive Education The Executive Education program provides working professionals and public service leaders with practical, flexible learning opportunities designed to strengthen leadership skills, expand expertise, and increase their impact in organizations and communities.

Washington, D.C. Accelerator The Washington, D.C. Accelerator gives O’Neill MPA students the opportunity to earn their degree while gaining hands-on experience, building professional networks, and launching their careers in the nation’s capital.

Washington Leadership Program (WLP) The Washington Leadership Program (WLP) gives IU students the opportunity to live, work, and learn in Washington, D.C., gaining hands-on professional experience, academic credit, and valuable connections in the nation’s capital.

Environmental Justice Fellows The Environmental Justice Fellows program supports O’Neill graduate students who are committed to advancing environmental justice through their academic work, professional development, and engagement with communities facing environmental challenges.

Global Leadership Program The O’Neill Global Leadership Program gives graduate students immersive international internship experiences that build leadership skills, provide hands-on work abroad, and connect their academic studies to real-world public service.

O'Neill Leadership Program (OLP) The O’Neill Leadership Program (OLP) gives undergraduate students hands-on experience with public or nonprofit organizations while building professional skills, serving the community, and developing their leadership through workshops and other professional development opportunities.

Student Life & Activities Council (SLAC) With student organizations at O’Neill and Indiana University, you can get more involved in your field of interest, our school, and our community. Gain work-related experience, and network with your peers and potential employers—all while advancing your leadership skills.

O'Neill Honors Program The O’Neill Honors Program gives high-achieving undergraduate students opportunities to deepen their studies through advanced coursework, faculty mentoring, independent research, and an honors thesis while building a strong academic and professional community.
